The Ashram offers limited accommodation with basic amenities for devotees of Sri Bhagavan, both from India and abroad. Rooms are available based on the purpose of the visit and availability. Accommodation is strictly reserved for devotees of Sri Bhagavan; those visiting for general purposes, temple visits, giripradakshinas, or spiritual tourism should seek alternative lodging.
EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2024, to stay at Sri Ramanasramam, visitors must register online at https://stay.gururamana.org. During registration, provide your full name, email, mobile number, and create a password. Specify whether you are an Indian national or a foreigner. After registration, an activation link will be sent to your email for verification. Once verified, complete your profile with personal and identification details. Indian nationals must provide their Aadhar number, while foreigners must upload passport and visa details as required by FRRO regulations.
After completing your profile, submit a stay request in the dashboard including your arrival date, number of guests, duration of stay, and purpose of visit. Allow 2-3 days for a response. Due to high demand, only about 60% of requests can be accommodated. If your requested dates are unavailable, alternate dates may be suggested. After approval, guest details must be submitted 1-2 weeks before the visit. If plans change, notify the Ashram at least 15 days in advance to withdraw your stay request. Upon arrival, present your approval letter's QR code and identity documents to be assigned a room, subject to availability.
Revisit requests should be made after a gap of at least four months, preferably six. Accommodation and meals are free of charge, though donations are welcome. Meals are restricted to registered guests and Ashram inmates only.
Devotees are encouraged to avoid visiting during full moon and festival days. A short stay of up to three days is recommended for absorbing the presence of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. Requests for accommodation via phone, on arrival, or on short notice will not be accepted. Similarly, requests for a stay of just a few hours, one day, or an overnight visit will not be considered.
Rooms are available for singles, couples, or families (up to 5 members) and are furnished with most having attached bathrooms. Hot water is available during the winter. South Indian vegetarian meals are served in the dining hall, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or milk, and dinner. Filtered drinking water is provided, and medical assistance can be arranged if needed.

Overnight night in the hills or in the caves is strictly prohibited. Strict action will be taken against devotees and visitors who violate the above.
